The Frist Center for Autism and Innovation uses a strengths-based, rather than a deficit-based, understanding of autism and neurodiversity to pursue innovation in technology and workplace practices.

Unlocking Accessibility: A Resource Guide for College Students with Disabilities

Written by Megan Harrington and reviewed by Online Colleges staff, this guide offers helpful tips for navigating College as a student with disabilities. Harrington discusses the importance of self-advocacy while at college, telling the story of a student who was not having their needs met and decided to take action, resulting in success. The guide recognizes, though, that self-advocacy can be intimidating. Additionally, the guide clearly outlines the various laws and services available to students in colleges across the country and offers links to other resources for students experiencing disability while attending college.

Neurodiversity at Work Playbook

The Playbook features 11 chapters covering everything from recruitment sourcing and interview and selection process to training, retention, and career development. This edition builds on the release of the original Autism@Work Playbook in 2019 and draws on pilots, interviews and focus groups with professionals across various federal agencies and contributions from leading neuroinclusion external partners, all of whom shared their expertise working with a range of private organizations that have successfully implemented neurodiversity hiring initiatives.
